Acorn Class - Nursery and Reception

Welcome to Acorn Class!  We are a mixed Nursery and Reception Class.

Our Acorn Class Teacher is Miss Danks, ably assisted by Mrs Emeny. In our Nursery and Reception class, we offer the children a safe and stimulating environment and build the foundations for future learning in our school. Our curriculum is progressive, well-planned and reactive to the children's interests. In our setting, we introduce the children to a language-rich environment with daily phonics sessions and opportunities to explore language through role-play and                                             story books.

Oak Class - Years 1 & 2

Welcome to Oak Class!  We are a mixed Year 1 & 2 Class.

Our Oak Class Teacher is Mrs Bramwell, ably assisted by our dedicated Teaching Assistants. We have a topic lead curriculum, where our learning is embedded through focused learning activities following the KS1 curriculum.  The skills of Phonics, English, Numeracy and Writing are practised daily in small learning groups. Oak Class also has two P.E. sessions a week as well as music with their experienced teachers from Suffolk Music Services.

Willow Class - Years 3 & 4

Welcome to Willow Class!  We are a mixed Year 3 & 4 Class.

Our Willow Class Teacher is Mrs Hall, ably assisted by our dedicated Teaching Assistants.  We have a topical lead curriculum, where our learning is embedded through core subjects as well as enriching foundation subjects following the Lower KS2 curriculum.  The skills of English, Numeracy and Writing are practised daily in small learning groups. Willow Class also has two P.E. sessions a week as well as music delivered by the Suffolk Music Service.

Chestnut Class - Years 5 & 6 

Welcome to Chestnut Class!  We are a mixed Year 5 & 6 Class.

Our Chestnut Class Teacher is Mrs Quick, ably assisted by our dedicated Teaching Assistants. Chestnut Class’s learning is focused on the core subjects of English, Maths and Science, as well as broad and enriching subjects including topic, R.E. and PHSE, amongst a few. Chestnut Class receives weekly music lessons from the Suffolk County Music Service (SCMS), where they will be learning to play the violin, as well as to read music and learning music theory.
